Training Opportunities
There are many different training opportunities offered throughout the year. The basic training session includes sections on: mitigation, response, triage, small fire suppression, light search and rescue, cribbing, incident command and psychology of disaster. Additional advanced training will be made available in the areas of: CPR, first aid, GIS, GPS, Disaster Drills and online courses.

Advanced Training/ TTT Opportunities:
TTT training will be held on October 15, 2009 from 12-5. Lunch will be provided. There will also be 10 TTT spots during the October Training.

Frequently Asked Questions Regarding Training:
How long does the training last?
CERT training takes approximately 20 hours, which includes classroom instruction and hands on practical exercises. At the end of the class, students will work through a mock disaster.
Who provides the training?
Local emergency management experts, firefighters, paramedics other emergency personnel, and trained CERT members.

It is free to all interested community members.
